Wrap Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: WRAP), a provider of non-lethal public safety technologies, announced that Stark Security Inc., a Chicago-based protective services firm, has selected and will deploy the company’s Wrap Reality virtual reality training platform across its operations and officer training programs. This deployment expands WRAP’s presence in the private security market, with Stark using the immersive platform to train armed and unarmed officers in de-escalation, situational awareness, communication and policy-based decision-making through realistic scenarios.
WRAP said the deployment supports its broader WrapShield platform strategy and reflects growing demand for immersive training solutions in the private security sector. The company added that ATF Ruling 2026-2, which classifies its BolaWrap 150 as an instrument of restraint rather than a firearm or weapon under federal law, could expand access to civilian and private security markets as it continues to broaden adoption of its training and non-lethal response technologies.
The BolaWrap 150, a key component of WRAP’s portfolio, is a non-lethal restraint device that deploys a multi-sensory distraction of sight and sound, followed by a restraint if escalation is required. Used by over 1,000 agencies across the U.S. and in 60 countries, the device is intended to provide law enforcement with a safer choice for managing non-compliant subjects before resorting to higher-force options. The Wrap Reality platform, a fully immersive training simulator, enhances decision-making under stress by providing realistic, interactive scenarios.
This partnership with Stark Security highlights the growing interest in non-lethal solutions and advanced training within the private security industry.
