Verizon began accepting preorders on July 22 for Samsung’s latest foldable lineup, including the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Z Fold8 Ultra, alongside the Galaxy Watch9 and Watch Ultra2. The launch is notable for tying Samsung’s high-end folding technology to Verizon’s new Simplicity Plan, which eliminates network tiers and emphasizes transparent pricing.
The Simplicity Plan offers a flat $30 per month for a single line when customers enable Auto Pay and paper-free billing and switch a number from another carrier. Under that plan, the Galaxy Z Fold8 (256GB) costs $60 monthly over 48 months—$30 for the phone after a $460 promotional credit and $30 for service. No trade-in is required. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra (256GB) drops to $35 per month for the device after a $420 credit, with the same service rate.
For existing Verizon customers, trade-in offers provide up to $1,100 off either new foldable when upgrading to an Unlimited Plus or Unlimited Ultimate plan on a 36-month installment. The trade-in device must have been active on the account for at least 60 days before purchase.
Verizon is also promoting an Ultimate Bundle: buy a new Samsung phone on a payment plan or bring your own Samsung phone with a new line, and get a Galaxy Watch9 and a Galaxy Tab S10 FE on us—each after monthly promotional credits over 36 months, plus a $15 monthly service line per device. Bring your own Android phone with a new Verizon line to get a Galaxy Watch9 on us or the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 for as low as $8 a month.
Business customers can save up to $900 on the Z8 series with a qualifying trade-in on the My Biz Plan, requiring a device payment plan and $15+ monthly add-on spending. Trade-in credits apply over 36 months.
Verizon is also launching a loyalty program via the My Verizon app that provides monthly cash back in Verizon Dollars, daily surprises, and elimination of device upgrade and activation fees. Additionally, the Verizon Shine program offers weekly chances to win experiences and daily drops of tickets, merchandise, and gift cards.
For entertainment, customers who purchase a qualifying Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 or Z Fold8 Ultra can get the Disney+, Hulu, & ESPN+ (With Ads) Perk for six months on us (then $10/mo) with Simplicity Plan or myPlan.
