UMT United Mobility Technology AG has announced an extraordinary general meeting for 21 October 2026, where shareholders will vote on changing the company's name to WAYDEAR AG. The move finalizes a strategic shift from its legacy mobility technology business to a pure-play provider of agent-based AI solutions, a transition that has been fully implemented operationally. The company's ISIN (DE000A40ZVU2) and WKN (A40ZVU) will remain unchanged, and shareholders are not required to take any action. The notice for the meeting will be published in the Federal Gazette on 14 September 2026, with documents available from that date in the Investor Relations section at www.umt.ag.
The name change is significant because it aligns the company's public identity with its actual business activities. The previous name, United Mobility Technology, dated back to an earlier model and no longer reflected the company's focus. UMT AG now develops and markets agent-based AI solutions that automate document-intensive and regulation-driven processes for small and medium-sized enterprises. This reorientation has already produced tangible results: two product lines are on the market, including the Catchflow Agent for EU import processes (CATCH/TRACES) and UMS Vision AI for transport and logistics companies. In June, the company secured NORDFROST, the German market leader in frozen food logistics, as a reference customer for CATCH automation, and EYE Logistics, another SME freight forwarding client, for UMS Vision AI. Additional customers have been added since then.
For investors, the rebranding is more than a cosmetic change. It signals that the operational transformation is complete and that the company is now focused on scaling its AI-driven solutions. The guidance published in August remains unchanged: break-even on a monthly EBITDA basis at the end of 2026, and revenue of between 1.2 and 1.5 million euros in the 2027 financial year with a revenue margin of 60 to 70 per cent. The revenue margin refers to the gross profit margin, calculated as revenue less variable sales commissions and other directly attributable service costs, expressed as a proportion of revenue. These targets underscore management's confidence in the new business model and its potential for profitable growth.
CEO Erik Nagel commented, "The reorganisation of UMT AG is complete. The products are on the market, we have secured our first reference customers, and the sales organisation is in place. The company name was the last element that still dated from a different era. With WAYDEAR, we will henceforth operate under a name that says exactly what we do." The name WAYDEAR combines "Way" – path, process, direction – with "dear" in the sense of valuable, reflecting the company's mission to automate business-critical processes for its customers.
The change of company name will take effect upon entry in the Commercial Register. A new stock exchange ticker symbol will be applied for after registration and announced separately. Until then, shares will continue to trade under the current ticker UMD. The rebranding is expected to make it easier for customers, partners, and investors to understand the company's value proposition, potentially enhancing its market visibility and attractiveness as it competes in the rapidly evolving Agentic AI space.
