Trump Media and Technology Group Corp., the operator of Truth Social, Truth+, and Truth.Fi, announced on Friday that it has added British news broadcaster GB News to its Truth+ streaming platform. The addition is part of Trump Media's ongoing effort to expand its content offerings and provide an alternative to what it calls the "global woke news monopoly."
GB News will be available through the free basic package on Truth+ in most countries worldwide. Viewers can access the channel via Truth+ apps for iOS and Android devices, on the web, and on streaming devices including Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire, and Roku connected TVs. The move significantly expands GB News's international footprint, particularly in the United States.
Trump Media's CEO and Chairman Devin Nunes welcomed the partnership, stating, "We welcome our good friends from across the pond, GB News, to the Truth+ platform. GB News is a terrific source for news, facts, and commentary. By expanding its global reach, we aim to connect an enormous new, international audience to the network’s unique reporting and opinion, while putting another dent in the global woke news monopoly."
Angelos Frangopoulos, CEO of GB News, emphasized the importance of the launch, saying, "As the fearless champion of freedom of speech in Britain, it is important that we launch across the United States of America and globally on the Truth+ streaming platform. We are bringing to the world the real story of what is happening in the United Kingdom and celebrating her heritage, values and potential."
GB News, which operates from studios in London, has rapidly grown to become one of Britain's fastest growing news networks. It features prominent hosts including Reform UK party leader Nigel Farage and other figures from Britain's political scene. The network recently claimed to have overtaken the BBC News Channel and Sky News to become Britain's number one news channel in July 2025, a milestone just four years after its launch. In 2024, GB News.com was recognized as the fastest growing news and media website in the U.S.
The partnership aligns with Trump Media's mission to provide a platform for free expression, countering what it describes as censorship by Big Tech corporations. Truth+, the company's TV streaming platform, focuses on family-friendly live TV channels and on-demand content. The addition of GB News is expected to attract a broader audience seeking alternative perspectives on global events.
For GB News, the deal offers a strategic avenue to reach American viewers ahead of its planned launch of live daily programs from Washington, D.C. in September. The collaboration underscores a shared commitment to challenging mainstream media narratives and promoting free speech.
