Trilogy Metals Announces Key Management Appointments at Ambler Metals Joint Venture

Trilogy Metals Inc. (NYSE American: TMQ) (TSX: TMQ) announced senior management appointments at its 50/50 joint venture with South32 Limited, Ambler Metals LLC, which is advancing the Upper Kobuk Mineral Projects in Alaska’s Ambler Mining District. The appointments strengthen Ambler Metals’ technical, financial and permitting leadership as it advances exploration drilling, community engagement, feasibility planning and expedited federal permitting under FAST-41, positioning the venture to support near-term milestones and progress toward an investment decision on the Arctic Project.

Michael Galicki has been named Vice President, Exploration; Cole Schaeffer Vice President, Human Resources, Community and Partnerships; Jenna Tan Vice President, Finance; and Ron Rimelman Senior Director, Permitting. These executives bring extensive experience in mineral exploration, stakeholder relations, financial management and regulatory permitting, which are critical as the joint venture moves forward with its development plans.

The Upper Kobuk Mineral Projects (UKMP) are located within the Ambler Mining District, one of the world’s most prospective copper-dominant districts, hosting world-class polymetallic volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) and carbonate replacement deposits. Exploration has focused on the Arctic VMS deposit and the Bornite copper-cobalt deposit. Ambler Metals operates under an agreement with NANA Regional Corporation, Inc., supporting responsible exploration and development in cooperation with local communities.

The appointments come as the venture benefits from expedited federal permitting under FAST-41, a program designed to accelerate environmental reviews for large infrastructure projects. This could shorten timelines for the Arctic Project, which is among the largest undeveloped copper-zinc-lead-silver-gold deposits in North America. The UKMP is considered strategically important for domestic supply of critical minerals, including copper, which is essential for electrification and renewable energy technologies.

Trilogy Metals holds a 50% interest in Ambler Metals LLC, which owns 100% of the UKMP. The company’s vision is to develop the Ambler Mining District into a premier North American copper producer while respecting subsistence livelihoods. The new management team is expected to drive progress on feasibility studies, community partnerships and permitting, all of which are prerequisites for a final investment decision.
