The Tokyo Metropolitan Government, through the Tokyo Metropolitan Small and Medium Enterprise Support Center, announced that it will dispatch five Tokyo-based companies representing the infrastructure and cleantech sectors to POWERGEN 2026, one of the world's largest power generation and energy infrastructure exhibitions, to be held in San Antonio, Texas.
This initiative is based on the long-standing regional economic cooperation framework between Tokyo and the State of Texas, and aims to strengthen business collaboration while fostering technology exchange and innovation in critical infrastructure sectors such as power, water, and disaster resilience.
The five selected companies offer practical, deployable, and immediately applicable solutions addressing urgent challenges faced by U.S. utilities and EPC contractors, including disaster resilience, clean and PFAS-compliant water treatment, energy efficiency, AI-enabled infrastructure maintenance, and low-carbon structural materials.
Exhibiting Companies
Nichibou Co., Ltd. specializes in fire protection systems, disaster prevention equipment, and emergency recovery services. With a 24/7 maintenance framework, Nichibou treats lifelines such as water, drainage, and HVAC systems as critical disaster-prevention infrastructure. The company is internationally recognized as the first to obtain UL certification for its erase-tube fire suppression device.
Noatech Co., Ltd. provides advanced water treatment technologies utilizing its proprietary inorganic powder coagulant, Super Namit.
