The Martial Arts History Museum in Glendale, California, will host the movie premiere of "The Match-Stick Flame 3: Red Mafia" on March 7, 2026. The event includes a red carpet from 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., followed by a screening from 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the museum's location at 201 N Brand Blvd B100.
The film follows Detective Dalton, played by Craig Bruss, a Navy SEAL veteran grappling with PTSD. Now a bounty hunter, Dalton is tasked by DEA Agent Prasad (Vineeta Prasad) to dismantle the remaining Lunada Bay gang members in Rancho Palos Verdes. However, when Agent Prasad is kidnapped by the Russian mob known as the "Red Mafia," Dalton must team up with Chief Higgins, the Match Stick Mobsters, and Jake to rescue her. The storyline highlights Dalton's use of alternative medicine strategies, including karate instruction from Sensei Darryl Vidal, alongside traditional therapy.
Museum Director Michael Matsuda noted the film's natural fit for the venue, describing it as "an action film with mixed martial arts featuring highly experienced actors/martial artists such as Darryl Vidal, known for the ‘crane kick’ in The Karate Kid and playing a referee in Cobra Kai Season 6." Tickets will be available at the door for $12 for adults and $5 for children 17 and under. The museum is located at the corner of Brand and Wilson, next to Muay Thai School, with parking available at the 4-story tower at 222 N. Orange Street (first 90 minutes free).
"The Match-Stick Flame 3: Red Mafia" will soon be available on streaming services including Tubi, Amazon, and YouTube. Predecessors are already streaming: The Match-Stick Flame and The Match-Stick Flame 2: Lunada Bay.
