A new non-profit organization, TexasCPG, officially launched today to serve as a central hub for the state's burgeoning consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry. TexasCPG aims to unify and accelerate the ecosystem by offering a comprehensive suite of online resources and a statewide event calendar, bridging geographical gaps between major innovation hubs such as Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio.
The organization is governed by a distinguished Board of Directors representing these hubs, including Marc Nathan (Austin), Matthew Gase (Austin), Max Kunik (Austin), Kira Heizer (San Antonio), Michelle Breyer (Austin), Tim DeSilva (Houston), Derek Ramos (Dallas), and Andrew Anguiano (San Antonio). The board brings decades of collective experience in brand building, venture capital, and community architecture. "Texas has become one of the most significant launchpads for CPG brands in the country," the founding board stated. "TexasCPG was created to ensure that every founder in the state, regardless of their city, has immediate access to the mentorship, capital, and talent needed to build a category-leading company."
By providing a centralized platform, TexasCPG seeks to foster a collaborative environment where founders, investors, and service providers can connect and thrive. The organization's digital infrastructure includes a unified event calendar to help stakeholders discover and post upcoming statewide events, as well as expert-led educational content. Looking ahead, TexasCPG plans to expand its offerings with a specialized industry job board to streamline talent acquisition for growing brands.
This launch comes at a pivotal time for Texas, which has rapidly emerged as a top-tier destination for consumer-facing innovation. The state's CPG sector has seen significant growth, driven by a combination of entrepreneurial talent, access to capital, and favorable business conditions. However, the industry has lacked a cohesive support system that connects the disparate metro areas. TexasCPG aims to fill that void, positioning itself as the primary voice for the CPG sector in Texas.
