SC Codeworks H1 2026 Data: Supply Chains Accelerate Amid Rising Costs

New data from SC Codeworks, a warehouse management software provider, indicates that supply chains are moving faster and becoming more efficient despite ongoing market pressures. The company's H1 2026 platform analysis shows total freight orders increased 6.9% year over year, with June experiencing a 14.6% surge compared to the same month in 2025. This growth occurred even as average order-to-ship cycle times fell by 34%, dropping from 19.76 days in H1 2025 to 13.04 days in H1 2026.

The reduction in cycle times suggests that businesses are placing orders closer to actual demand and expecting quicker warehouse execution, reflecting a more agile supply chain environment. According to Amy Dean, Vice President of Operations at SC Codeworks, "Companies are compressing their planning horizons, ordering closer to actual need and expecting the supply chain to keep pace."

In the less-than-truckload (LTL) sector, operators improved efficiency amid rising diesel prices caused by geopolitical disruptions. From January through April 2026, average orders per consolidation load rose 19% to 5.79, and high-density loads with 20 or more orders grew from 5.2% to 6.5% of all consolidations. Overall LTL volume increased 26%, while consolidation rates remained steady at 74-75%, indicating that operators maximized trailer utilization rather than adding trucks. This approach helped mitigate the impact of higher fuel costs.

The data underscores a logistics industry that is adapting to challenges through technology and operational discipline. SC Codeworks, recognized for its innovative platforms like Codeworks Essentials and Codeworks Enterprise, continues to support warehouses in optimizing their operations. The company's award-winning solutions, including its AI-powered CODI engine, are designed to enhance day-to-day decision-making and improve efficiency.

As the industry navigates a demanding environment, these trends highlight a shift toward more responsive and resilient supply chain practices. The full report from SC Codeworks is available on their website.
