San Antonio’s District 10 Councilmember Marc Whyte announced that the Alamo City has been officially selected to host the inaugural Texas Space Summit in September 2026. The summit, which is expected to draw leaders from commercial space, military commands, research institutions, private industry, and public-sector partners, represents a landmark opportunity for San Antonio and underscores its expanding role in science and technology innovation.
Councilmember Whyte extended recognition to the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce for successfully bringing this first-of-its-kind summit to San Antonio, emphasizing the collective strength of the region’s business community, education partners, and military presence. The announcement was made during an event hosted by The Building Texas Show, a statewide platform dedicated to economic development across Texas.
