Top communications professionals from across Colorado will gather in Denver on Friday, October 10 for PR Insights 2025: Mastering Connection in the Age of Disruption, a summit co-hosted by the Colorado and Pikes Peak Chapters of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). The event, open to all public relations, communications and marketing professionals, will take place at Strive Workspaces in Denver from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Registration is now open with early bird discounts available through October 3, 2025.
“Building and growing skills, especially during times of change, is critical to being a successful communicator,” said Samantha Coulter, president of the Colorado Chapter of PRSA. “Our local PRSA Chapters are excited to collaborate and provide this opportunity to our members and community.”
The summit features a range of workshops designed to address current challenges and opportunities in the field. Sessions include “Disrupted or Dominant? The PR Pro’s Playbook for Thriving with AI” led by Dr. Eric Goodman of Innovate AI Systems; “It’s Not About You: Rewiring Your PR Strategy with an Audience-First Mindset” by Michelle Baum, co-founder and COO of The Nova Method; and “Embrace the Future: Leveraging the Power of Influencer Engagement” with Elexis Schroder, founder and head of the Haus at SchroderHaus. Other sessions cover communicating to connect, crisis communication, plain language, and search engine optimization.
The event is particularly timely as the communications landscape undergoes rapid transformation driven by technological advancements and shifting audience expectations. Attendees will gain practical insights into integrating AI tools, refocusing strategies on audience needs, and effectively engaging influencers. The crisis communication session, led by Natalie Sosa and Amy Jo Fields from El Paso County, addresses the critical need for trust and strategic action during disruptions.
“Plain Language: More Than Just Simple Words” with Robert Austin from the Denver City Council emphasizes clarity in public communication, while the SEO session with Natalie Henley of Volume Nine Digital Marketing offers tactics to enhance online visibility. These workshops aim to equip professionals with skills to navigate an increasingly complex media environment.
Registration is open to both PRSA members and non-members through the PRSA Colorado website. The Colorado and Pikes Peak Chapters, with over 400 members combined, are dedicated to empowering public relations and communications professionals by fostering growth, collaboration, and industry leadership. Attendees represent diverse backgrounds including nonprofit, education, corporate communications, agencies, and independent practice.
The summit underscores the importance of continuous learning and adaptation in public relations. By bringing together experts and practitioners, PR Insights 2025 aims to strengthen the profession’s ability to connect authentically and effectively in an era of disruption.
