A physician by training, Dr. Mazur-Hofsaess earned her doctorate at the Medical University of Gdansk and completed management studies at the Warsaw School of Economics and the University of Minnesota. Her career began at the University Clinical Centre in Gdansk.

Stefan Heidenreich stepped down after his five-year term, having served as Deputy Chairman of the Management Board and playing a key role in Ottobock's strategic development.
