MAX Power Mining Expands Saskatchewan Natural Hydrogen Holdings to 2 Million Acres, Signaling Accelerated Exploration

MAX Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX; OTC: MAXXF; FRANKFURT: 89N) has announced a significant expansion of its natural hydrogen permit holdings in Saskatchewan, increasing its total permitted acreage by more than 50% to approximately 2 million acres across 12 projects. The company acquired provincial permits covering an additional 660,263 acres, or 2,672 square kilometers, in south-central Saskatchewan, positioning itself as a dominant player in the emerging natural hydrogen sector.

The expansion includes the newly named Aurora Project, a 628-square-kilometer area adjoining the existing Lawson project. Together, these projects create a contiguous 90-kilometer corridor that MAX Power believes holds potential for multiple natural hydrogen discoveries and commercialization pathways. The corridor is strategically located near highway, rail, heavy industry, and emerging artificial intelligence infrastructure, which could facilitate future development and distribution.

In addition to the Aurora Project, MAX Power added the Ogema and Kyle projects, expanded the Grasslands Project through the Fox Valley target area, and secured additional permits at Lawson, Radville, and Tribune. The company is currently conducting commercial-validation drilling at Lawson Complex #1, Canada’s first confirmed subsurface natural hydrogen system. Independent consultant GLJ Ltd. is also reviewing data from the newly permitted areas to assess their potential.

Natural hydrogen, also known as white hydrogen, is generated naturally through geological processes and is being explored as a low-carbon energy source. MAX Power’s extensive land position in Saskatchewan, including approximately 1.3 million acres of permits covering prime exploration ground, highlights the region’s potential for large-volume accumulations of natural hydrogen. The company’s efforts are part of a broader shift toward decarbonization and the development of alternative energy resources.

MAX Power also holds a portfolio of critical mineral properties in the United States and Canada, including a 2024 diamond drilling discovery at the Willcox Playa Lithium Project in southeast Arizona. The company emphasizes responsible exploration and development practices focused on environmental stewardship and community engagement.
