The Mad Hatter's July 4th Waterfront Festival will mark its 12th year on Saturday, July 4th, 2026, at the Barbara Kondylis Waterfront Park in Vallejo, California. The event, produced by Hyperion Community Partners LLC in partnership with the City of Vallejo, is expected to draw thousands of attendees for a day of food, recreation, and entertainment that culminates in a night market and a lighted sky show celebrating the 250th anniversary of Independence Day.
From daybreak to sundown, the festival offers a range of activities including the popular Annual Maritime Dog Parade, interactive exhibits with the Wholly Wackers (sheep), rescued reptiles, a Kids Zone, Giant Kites, Classic Cars, cultural performances, and live music. Attendees can browse an array of peddlers and merchants, including makers, food trucks, and wellness vendors, while enjoying views of Mare Island's historic ships.
As evening falls, the festival transforms into a family-friendly Night Market featuring an international food court, shopping, and live entertainment. The night concludes with a Lighted Sky Show and a Grand Finale fireworks display.
