(OTC: LGMK) has announced a new medication reminder feature for its Freedom Alert Max personal emergency response system (PERS), marking the first time medication management has been integrated directly into a medical alert device. The capability aims to simplify health management for aging adults and their caregivers by eliminating separate reminder apps or additional tools.
The medication reminder feature is available on the Freedom Alert Max, which already includes 24/7 monitoring, fall detection, geofencing, emergency caregiver video, GPS tracking, and two-way communication. Users or caregivers can enter multiple medications and dosage details through the company’s Care Village app, and notifications with dosage instructions are sent directly to the device. The wearer can confirm taking medication or select "Remind Me Later." If no response is received, the system logs the information in LogicMark’s backend, where it is processed through the company’s patented Care Processing technology to analyze patterns that could contribute to potential falls or emergencies.
The data also feeds into LogicMark’s patent-pending Care Village Digital Twin technology, which creates a virtual mirror image of the user. This digital twin analyzes data to predict future outcomes, enabling proactive care. For example, if a user fails to confirm taking medication, the system may identify a potential issue before a fall or safety event occurs. This integration streamlines caregiver workflow and user experience, consolidating emergency monitoring and medication management into one device.
