(NASDAQ: LGMK) has launched predictive Activity Metrics within its Freedom Alert Max personal emergency response device, marking a shift from reactive emergency response to proactive health crisis prevention. The feature continuously tracks users' daily steps and active time, using AI analytics to establish a personalized baseline and detect deviations that may signal health or behavioral changes. Caregivers receive real-time insights and alerts through LogicMark's Care Village app, enabling early intervention before a crisis occurs.
Traditional medical alert systems typically activate only after an emergency, such as a fall. LogicMark's new capability aims to prevent emergencies by monitoring for altered movement levels, longer rest periods, or sudden changes in activity patterns. Activity Metrics leverages built-in sensors and fall detection technology in the Freedom Alert Max device to collect motion data over time. The algorithm learns the user's normal routines and identifies unusual declines or spikes in activity. For example, if an older adult's daily movement slowly decreases over weeks, the system alerts caregivers to check for potential pain, weakness, or health issues before a fall occurs. Similarly, increased inactivity or nighttime wandering may indicate fatigue, medication side effects, or emerging cognitive decline.
This feature builds on LogicMark's recently launched Medication Reminders, which allows caregivers to send reminders directly to the device. Both capabilities are part of the first phase of LogicMark's Predictive Care Village, an interconnected network designed to anticipate care needs. The data also feeds into the company's patent-pending Care Village Digital Twin technology, which creates a virtual mirror image of users to predict future outcomes.
