As the U.S. government prioritizes rebuilding domestic mining capabilities, King Global Ventures Inc. (CSE: KING) (OTCQB: KGLDF) (FSE: 5LM1) is advancing its exploration efforts at the Black Canyon/Silver Cord project near Cleator, Arizona. The company is currently executing a 14,000-foot diamond drill program at the Iron Horse target, designed to test priority geophysical anomalies for potential VMS-style sulphide mineralization within the Lower Spud Mountain Formation. Recent drilling, geological work, and XRF interpretation have identified prospective volcanic stratigraphy, hydrothermal alteration, feeder-style geochemical responses, and multiple marker horizons. Wedge drilling from hole IH-26-03 is being utilized to further assess the target at depth.
This exploration push comes amid a supportive policy environment. On August 7, 2026, the White House announced $100 million in funding for 14 U.S. mining schools as part of more than $2 billion in new mining and mining-related investments, along with over $180 million dedicated to mining school and workforce development. This policy backdrop could bolster domestic exploration companies targeting strategic minerals such as antimony, which King Global has encountered in its previous drilling at Silver Cord.
In December 2025, the company reported high-grade polymetallic veins at Silver Cord containing silver, gold, lead, zinc, and antimony. One notable intercept included 9 feet grading 619.6 g/t silver, 1.0 g/t gold, 0.6% lead, 1.05% zinc, and 375 g/t antimony. These results underscore the project's potential to contribute to domestic supply chains for critical minerals.
The Black Canyon Project comprises 213 contiguous concessions covering 4,000 acres in Yavapai County, Arizona, and includes 15 former operating mines, such as the past-producing Howard Copper Mine. Situated approximately 100 kilometers north of Phoenix, the project represents an early-stage exploration opportunity targeting copper-gold-silver-zinc VMS mineralization. The region's geology is notable for a variety of base and precious metal deposit types, with a history of mining operations at Bagdad, Jerome, and Cleopatra. The property is on trend and about 13 kilometers northwest of Arizona Metals Corp. (T:AMC).
The Howard Copper Mine property, located on 78 acres of patented land, was discovered in the early 1920s and saw small-scale production focused on high-grade copper. Historical reports indicate the main shaft reached the 900-foot level, but no ore was mined below the 500-foot level.
Beyond Arizona, King Global also holds the Mikwam Gold Property in northeastern Ontario, within the Abitibi Greenstone Belt. This property lies along the Casa Berardi Deformation Zone, which hosts Detour Gold's Burntbush Property. The Mikwam deposit is hosted within Timiskaming-aged polymictic conglomerate and greywacke units, containing disseminated and vein-hosted gold mineralization associated with quartz-carbonate veins and pyrite mineralization.
The company's focus on strategic minerals aligns with federal efforts to secure supply chains. According to the White House announcement, the investments aim to strengthen the domestic mining workforce and reduce reliance on foreign sources for critical minerals. King Global believes these policies could support exploration companies like itself that are targeting minerals such as antimony, which is used in flame retardants, batteries, and military applications.
