On Sunday, October 26, 2025, the Jeep® Babes Enthusiast Club Michigan Chapter will gather at Mugs Coffee & Grub in White Lake from 9:00 a.m. to noon to collect personal hygiene products, laundry baskets, and Meijer gift cards for HAVEN, Michigan’s largest shelter and advocacy agency for survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault. At 12:30 p.m., a 50-vehicle convoy will deliver the donations, along with funds raised from the club’s annual Show and Shine charity event held in September, to HAVEN Headquarters in Pontiac.
The event underscores the ongoing crisis of domestic violence in Michigan. According to the Michigan State Police, 68,000 intimate partner violence incidents were reported in 2023. While the overall number of reported cases has declined in recent years, fatalities have risen, indicating increased lethality. Lifetime prevalence rates show that a significant portion of Michigan’s adult population has experienced intimate partner violence, with women disproportionately affected, and members of the LGBTQ+ community reporting high levels of abuse.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and this partnership between Jeep Babes and HAVEN aims to provide critical resources to survivors. HAVEN offers services to men, women, children, and their pets, regardless of location. The donations will support the agency’s ongoing efforts to provide shelter, advocacy, and support. Anne Mantha, Chief Philanthropy Officer at HAVEN, and Jaime Matthews, President of the Jeep Babes Enthusiast Club Michigan Chapter, will be available for interviews at HAVEN in Pontiac at 12:30 p.m. The event highlights the importance of community involvement in addressing domestic violence, especially as the nature of reported incidents becomes more dangerous. The collection and convoy serve as a tangible demonstration of support for survivors and a call to action during a month dedicated to raising awareness about this pervasive issue.
