GeoVax Labs, Inc. (Nasdaq: GOVX) announced today that its Chief Medical Officer and clinical collaborators will present data on the company's next-generation COVID-19 vaccine candidate, GEO-CM04S1, at two international scientific conferences in September 2025. The presentations will highlight the vaccine's ability to induce cross-variant antibodies and robust cellular immune responses in immunocompromised patients with hematologic malignancies, a population particularly vulnerable to severe COVID-19.
The first presentation will take place at the 6th ESCMID Conference on Vaccines, held September 10-13, 2025, in Lisbon, Portugal. Kelly T. McKee, Jr., MD, MPH, Chief Medical Officer of GeoVax, will present a poster titled "GEO-CM04S1, a multi-antigen COVID-19 vaccine for immunocompromised individuals: clinical evaluation to date" on Friday, September 12. The second presentation will be at the International Workshop on Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (iwCLL 2025), taking place September 12–15, 2025, in Krakow, Poland. Alexey V. Danilov, MD, PhD, Professor at City of Hope National Medical Center, will present poster 1717 on Monday, September 15, from 08:15 to 09:40 CEST. The presentation, titled "MVA-based GEO-CM04S1 vaccine results in improved cellular immune response in patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) compared with mRNA-based vaccine: initial results from a Phase II randomized study," will provide key comparative data against mRNA vaccines. GEO-CM04S1 is a multi-antigen vaccine designed to address the limitations of current authorized COVID-19 vaccines, particularly in immunocompromised patients such as those with hematologic cancers. The vaccine is currently in three Phase 2 clinical trials: as a primary vaccine for immunocompromised patients, as a booster in CLL patients, and as a more robust booster for healthy individuals previously vaccinated with mRNA vaccines.
