flatexDEGIRO, one of Europe’s leading online brokerage platforms, is bolstering its leadership team with the creation of a new Chief Growth Officer (CGO) position. The company has appointed Dominik Beier to the role, effective January 2027, as part of its strategic push to accelerate growth and expand its customer base across Europe.
The newly established CGO role consolidates growth strategy, brand leadership, and customer development at the Group level. Beier will report directly to CEO Oliver Behrens and will be responsible for fostering closer integration between product, customer experience, and marketing. This move underscores flatexDEGIRO’s ambition to strengthen its market position and inspire more individuals to engage in long-term wealth building through investing.
Dominik Beier brings extensive experience in scaling digital platforms. Most recently, he served as Chief Commercial Officer at Bitpanda, where he oversaw marketing, growth, and international expansion. Prior to that, he held leadership positions including CEO of the Interwetten Group and senior roles at Sportradar.
Oliver Behrens, CEO of flatexDEGIRO, commented on the appointment: “flatexDEGIRO has established a unique position in Europe. At the same time, we see significant opportunities to expand our reach, engage new customer segments, and further strengthen our market position. With Dominik, we are gaining one of Europe’s most accomplished growth leaders, who has repeatedly demonstrated throughout his career how to successfully unlock exactly this kind of potential.”
Dominik Beier added, “What excites me about flatexDEGIRO is the company’s tremendous potential. The Group has a unique market position in Europe, a large customer base, and an excellent foundation to inspire significantly more people to invest. I look forward to working with the team to unlock this potential and actively shape the company’s next stage of development.”
The creation of this executive role signals flatexDEGIRO’s commitment to deepening its European footprint and appealing to a broader range of investors. The company currently serves over 3.5 million customers across 16 countries, with more than EUR 100 billion in assets under custody and over 75 million securities transactions executed in 2025. Through its platforms—DEGIRO, flatex, and ViTrade—the firm offers access to around 50 exchanges across Europe, North America, and the Asia-Pacific region, as well as over-the-counter trading.
By appointing a dedicated growth officer, flatexDEGIRO aims to leverage its strong brand and technological infrastructure to capture new opportunities in the evolving European brokerage market. The move is likely to intensify competition among online brokers as they vie for a larger share of retail investors.
