C&D Industrial Maintenance Secures Growth Investment from Crescentia Capital

C&D Industrial Maintenance, a provider of commercial door and loading dock services based in Bradenton, Fla., has received a strategic growth investment from Crescentia Capital, the equity buyout unit of Calvert Street Investment Partners based in Towson, Md. The investment is intended to fuel organic growth initiatives and strategic acquisitions as C&D builds the region's leading door and dock services platform.

Founded in 2018, C&D serves customers across eight southeastern states: Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The company's services are critical for businesses that rely on efficient loading dock operations, making this investment significant for the logistics and supply chain sectors.

The transaction was advised by Current Capital Partners, with financing provided by Petra Capital Partners. Legal counsel to Crescentia Capital included Stevens & Lee and Willkie Farr & Gallagher. The financial backing from these firms underscores the confidence in C&D's growth trajectory and market position.

Crescentia Capital's current portfolio of nine companies includes All Clear, D2K, and Terra Nova. The firm is led by managing partner Brian Guerin and partner and chief investment officer Michael Booth, both members of Calvert Street's Executive Leadership Committee. Guerin brings extensive experience from Ernst & Young, where he specialized in M&A transactions between private equity firms and middle-market companies, and previously worked at Arthur Andersen. Booth is a former Ernst & Young executive.

Calvert Street Investment Partners, which also has offices in Newton, Mass., operates two units: Parkway Capital, which provides flexible junior capital solutions to lower-middle market companies, and Crescentia Capital. Parkway Capital makes mezzanine debt and minority equity investments of between $3 million and $12 million per transaction, typically investing in companies with $10 million in annual revenue and $2 million of EBITDA. Since its inception, Parkway Capital has invested over $500 million across more than 70 portfolio companies in manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, business and industrial services, and healthcare.

As of June, Calvert Street had invested over $1.1 billion — about $615 million in equity buyout investments and about $525 million in mezzanine and minority equity investments — backing over 145 middle-market companies. This investment in C&D aligns with Calvert Street's strategy of supporting service-oriented businesses with strong growth potential in the Southeast.
