CAHEC, a Raleigh-based community development organization, has announced the appointment of Corine Sheridan to its Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2026. Sheridan brings over 40 years of experience in affordable housing finance and investment, a move that bolsters CAHEC's leadership as it continues to expand its impact in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.
Sheridan retired in late 2024 after a distinguished career. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President and Head of Acquisitions at Berkadia from 2021 to 2024, where she led the Tax Credit Syndication team's nationwide origination and acquisition strategy. Prior to that, she spent nearly two decades at Boston Capital as Director of Originations, developing and executing the firm's nationwide origination strategy. Her work has been instrumental in directing capital to communities with critical housing needs across the United States.
In 2024, Sheridan co-founded Sheridan Consulting, a firm that provides financial and organizational expertise to nonprofits, housing authorities, and other affordable housing practitioners. Her ongoing commitment to the sector is also evident through her board service with the Light House Shelter in Annapolis, Maryland, the Anne Arundel County Affordable Housing Coalition, and the Real Estate Committee of True Ground in Arlington, Virginia.
