Boerne, Texas, is gearing up to celebrate American Craft Beer Week, May 11-17, with its 5th Annual Bock Walk on May 16-17. The event showcases the city's six independent craft breweries, each offering a unique Maibock—a traditional German-style lager—and underscores Boerne's growing reputation as a craft beer destination.
Participating breweries include 28 Songs Brewhouse + Kitchen, Hamby's, Tusculum Brewing Co., Cibolo Creek Brewing Co., Free Roam Brewing Co., and The Dodging Duck Brewhaus. Each will craft its own signature Maibock, known for smooth malt character and springtime appeal, inviting attendees to explore each location and savor the interpretations.
“Each brewery brings its own personality and passion to Boerne,” said Tori Bellos with Visit Boerne. “Together, they create a welcoming destination that both visitors and locals are proud to be part of.”
A limited-edition t-shirt featuring all six breweries is available for pre-order online. A portion of proceeds will benefit Paidion Shield, a veteran-run nonprofit focused on child safety training and preparedness programs.
The Bock Walk leads participants through the Hill Country Mile, Boerne's vibrant downtown area with shops, restaurants, and galleries. Visit Boerne offers ready-made itineraries and accommodation suggestions to simplify planning.
