The Atlanta Community Food Bank, the central hub in the fight against hunger in metro Atlanta and north Georgia, has named the newest members to its Governing and Advisory Boards to support the organization in making access to food assistance more convenient, consistent, frequent, and equitable across its service area, where over 900,000 people are projected to be food insecure. These recent appointments were effective as of July 1, 2026, for the Georgia nonprofit organization.

"We are incredibly grateful to this group of leaders for their commitment to service and for joining us in our mission to fight hunger, making vital resources more accessible for our neighbors in need. We look forward to their guidance and collaboration as we work to amplify the impact of the Food Bank as a critical part of the food ecosystem."
The Food Bank added four new Governing Board members for Fiscal Year 2027. New members, who will serve three-year terms on the Board, are: Danielle Fallin, Dean of the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University; Marshall Guest, Chief Strategy Officer at the Metro Atlanta Chamber; Noel Baber, VP & CFO at Kaiser Permanente Georgia; and Vonetta Daniels, Founder & Principal at VYD and Associates.
Serving as the newly elected Advisory Board Vice Chair is Christine Connor, Managing Partner and Founder at Switch Consulting Group, and she is joined by two new Advisory Board members: Jay Ritchie, President & CEO at Tokio Marine HCC, and Kevin Autie, Senior Manager at Gas South.
These appointments come at a critical time as the Food Bank continues to address the rising demand for food assistance. The organization works with more than 700 community-based, nonprofit partners in 29 counties to help thousands of families, children, and seniors get healthy food every year. In 2023, the Atlanta Community Food Bank distributed its one billionth meal, a milestone that underscores its long-term commitment to ending hunger.
The new board members bring a wealth of experience in public health, business strategy, finance, and community leadership. Their expertise will be instrumental in guiding the Food Bank's initiatives to ensure that all hungry people across metro Atlanta and north Georgia have access to the nutritious meals they need when they need them. The Food Bank's mission is to end hunger with the food, people, and big ideas needed to ensure neighbors have the nourishment to lead healthy and productive lives.
