The Academy of Intentional Magic (AIM) has officially launched, marking a significant expansion of the creative learning landscape. Building on the nearly twenty-year legacy of the Poetry Barn, AIM aims to serve a broader community of artists, writers, teachers, and creatives through a comprehensive ecosystem of programs and resources.

By evolving from the Poetry Barn's pioneering online MFA-quality poetry workshops, which began in 2007, AIM addresses the need for a holistic approach to creative practice that spans multiple art forms and career stages.
The new platform encompasses eight interconnected areas: an online community, education programs, mentoring, publishing, a 4,000-volume poetry library, retreats, and outreach partnerships with high schools. AIM opens its fall programming with 'Sky Writing: Write Your Own Horoscope,' a workshop led by somatic astrologer Cory Nakasue. The workshop will be held on September 8, 15, 22, and 29 from 6-8 p.m. ET, offering participants a chance to explore the intersection of astrology and creative writing.
